I think I'm pregnant..

When I first knew I was pregnant…I totally did not feel like it. Life was normal! We went on a hike with friends, I went on a trip, I ate anything I felt like. I told Matt that I thought my mom felt more pregnant than me, because she was at least excited. I wasn’t really yet. I felt normal.

Well as of a few days ago, I feel pregnant. I think the first real realization was when I climbed out of bed at 4 AM to use the bathroom, and when I got back in told Matt I was jealous of his bladder capacity. Then last night, I woke Matt up at 11:18 PM telling him I was hungry, and he got me to agree to some pretty crazy things in exchange of him making me a grill cheese sandwich. (I think in the end he got me to okay him getting an x-box…and clean the house). Then this morning I threw up!! Ugh.

I’ve been in and out of bed all day -- thanks to this new throwing up thing. After I’m up for a few minutes, I feel like I’m going to throw up again and I’m back in bed. (My pregnant friends with children…you are amazing.)  So basically my life has been reduced to the same life as a baby – eating, sleeping, and wanting to do those two things the rest of the day.

Nice part, I have no excuse not to finish the binding on the quilts, and I have hours to mess around on the internet.

Few of my favorite finds of the day. (Hopefully in a few days and at most 20 days – I’ll be at 12 weeks then – I feel better so I can go back to doing stuff people actually like to read about…)

This video I found on a blog is awesome! It's cute and I kinda hope our kid will be like this. He made an arcade shop out of cardboard boxes, and how all these strangers came together to play at his little cardboard arcade shop. It's really cute.

I've also had a ton of time on looking at cute baby stuff people have made, and realizing how little motivation I have to make baby stuff. On the other hand, its' great knowing I can just buy it right?

And lastly...I've been stalking blogs. When I ran out of blogs that I regularly read, I started hitting "next blog" button. I found two I really like...

So yeah, ideas for more stuff to do or how to get rid of morning sickness would be appreciated.

The last month in pictures...
May 1st
I had to talk myself into buying the test all day! I was so nervous and really didn't want to see a negative test. I finially did it, and it was positive!! Matt wasn't home or picking up the phone, so I snapped this picture before running up to campus. Of course, I ran into everyone I knew on the way up. I told him to turn on the camera when I got there. When he saw it he said, "Oh...I guess I better get lunch off then." We went and got a jamba juice together, and the excitement started kicking as we talked about it together.

Matt: I was kinda surprised when she showed up at work, and I figured it was something serious like the house burned down or someone broke in. Then she pulled out the camera and showed me this photo, and I thought, "Oh... that's what she did this morning." That was about it, not so much of a surprise as welcome news.
May 8th-ish
(In Tennesse, by the way) I woke up one morning right after the girls came home from their mom's house. Izzy came and knocked on my door and I starting laughing. She had no clue that there was melted chocolate popsicle all over her face, and it seriously looked like an evil beard and mustache. I snapped a quick picture, while Elena and me just kept laughing, and Izzy gave us a very confused look.
 May 9-15ish?

While Elena was playing softball, I was watching Izzy on the playground.  When she came over and got a drink, I asked her what she was playing. "Boy v. Girls". I asked her what the rules for that game was, "It's when you run from the boy really fast, and when he almost catches you, you scream base." I felt bad, because I'm pretty sure that little boy didn't know he was 1) playing the game and 2) the rules.

So our camera charger sadly met it's fate one morning, when I found a small  little dog chewing on it. Matt ended up cutting up another charger when I got home, so that we can use our camera again, but there are no pictures of Matt's birthday. :( He did get a cake, and one of his mission buddies invited us over, and made AMAZING steak. Then on his birthday, we watched Avengers. I think the best part of the day was when we woke up in the morning. I asked Matt what his birthday wish was and he said that he was 23 today and there was nothing more that he wanted or wished for.
Anyway, now that I have internet again and a camera, we'll start updating again.

I haven’t updated in what seems like forever. Matt was sweet enough to update, while I’ve been gone. That’s right. I’m not in Utah right now -- I’m in Tennessee!
The empty seats next to me on my flight to Tennessee.
Matt should have been sitting with me..
I’m completely loving being out of Utah. It is so green here, and trees, hills, great weather, and even fried okra. Yum! (Did I mention there is a Stein Mart too?)  There is only one small problem…my computer Flo seems allergic to the internet here. She refuses to connect to it, so it’s not easy to update our blog.
I wanted to put some pictures up from the day of the funeral. Even though the morning was full of crying and grieving, the rest of the day was fun. (We actually were not there the whole day…Matt and I were so tired, and took a really long nap the 2nd half of the day, but the part we were there for was fun!) I didn't take any pictures of the funeral, but there are plenty of after. Mema didn't want a funeral, but a celebration of her life. She wanted us to wear bright colors and have a photographer to take family pictures. We did just that.

The pictures start after the funeral, when we headed home to eat. The church was nice enough to set up a cute little lunch in the backyard. I was so excited to see chocolate cupcakes. I was secretly wanting cupcakes the whole day, but I didn't think it was approperiate voice my craving during the funeral. But chocolate and cupcakes are my normal comfort foods, so maybe God just knew I would need them. Apparently I wasn't the only one, because everyone seemed to be chowing down on cupcakes.

Grampa Gary looking snazzy

Uncle Rod's awesome green socks

It was also Jake's prom night that after lunch Matt and I drove him down to Provo to his date's house. Jake wouldn't let me take any picture of him before we left, so here is one I snagged off facebook.

One ring to rule them all...

(A Matt post)

Here's a photo from the archives. Michele hates this photo because she's wearing pajamas and her knees are too close to the camera, but I think she looks cute!

An interesting side note: This photo was taken on March 23rd, 2011 at 12:26 PM. For those of you who don't know, that was approximately one half hour after Michele agreed to marry me. Just sayin...

Michele looks happy! I look like I'm bursting with some mixture of ecstasy and "Holy smokes! What did I just do?" But you can't really blame me. That's the first time I ever proposed to anyone. It's not my fault I got the wrong hand AND the wrong finger when I was trying to put the ring.

Also, for those of you wondering, "Who proposes at noon on a Wednesday morning?" my response is sometimes you just gotta go for it.
